coach drivers from other countries would conform to EU hours when driving over here

Post Brexit this will depend on precisely what laws and treaties exist. It may not be the case; it may be required for people simply to comply to UK law which may well not be the same.

Regarding tiredness, I'd personally say (from driving a car) that city driving is far more tiring and requiring of a break than going up the motorway.

Currently, rightly or wrongly, Bus drivers can drive five and a half hours without a break. Coach drivers can only do four and a half. Bus drivers can drive a maximum of ten hours a day, and coach drivers 9. Obviously the law is more complex than that, but that’s a very simple overview.
To make them the same would be a massive change, and would be a paperwork nightmare for companies that do go to Europe. And a nightmare for companies from Europe coming to the UK.
Broadly speaking coach hours are the same as lorry hours, so would lorry hours change too? And again, if they did, a nightmare for companies dealing with the EU, it coming from the EU
Whilst the law could change, I can’t see it happening as it would be so complex the industries would resist it.

Why would they resist it? If they didn't like it, they could choose to only schedule their drivers to only drive EU hours, as that sits entirely within UK hours.
It depends what the law was changed to surely? And if companies are just going to ignore it, it’s a pointless change. If a driver can work at company A and only drive for four and a half hours, or work at company B and drive five and a half, who would work at B?

This thread has gone completely off topic. The idea that the current driving rules are going to be torn up because of brexit is garbage, fiction and only deserving of being in the fantasy ideas section of the forum.

No sane minister is going to sign off on relaxing truck/coach driving rules as it is an absolute certainty that there will be fatal crashes where driver fatigue is causal and the finger of blame would have a predetermined path to point directly at that individual.

The pages of speculation on how this stupid tangent would work is a pointless cul-de-sac and has no relevance to the topic of this thread.
