What 57 was this?

Bearing in mind I do not know the area at all but only vaguely, I went on one of the live test 395s yesterday with a work colleague and noticed a FGW 57 near I think some depot at Stratford with a 66 next to it, if it helps it was between St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet International.

Anyone in the area know what 57 that would be please?

I believe you saw 47 811 at Dagenham Dock station, it's used as a super shunter for the Ford /Shanks contract that Freighliner has got to remove waste.

Ah I see, well it looked like a 57 which as you well know is just a re-engined 47, thanks for letting me know what it was.

It's hard trying to trainspot at 140mph!
