What’s going on with 465911?

It’s been stabled outside Victoria station for about a month now, anyone know what’s happening with it? It was sounding a little sorry for itself a couple of months ago.

465905, 465915, 465917, 465918, 465920, 465921, 465931, 465933, 465934 are the stored /9s. Not sure about 466s’

when I saw it on the 5th November it was sat in the same place but with it’s lights on. I went past on the 6th and it was in the same place but lights all off again.

465921 occupied that siding for months a while back; it eventually went for repairs and saw a brief period back in service, before being one of the 9s displaced by the second wave of 707s moving in. If nothing else went to store when the last 2x 707s came over, then presumably they could easily move this unit to store if repairing it is not worth it, but I'm guessing the leasing company has not given permission for this yet?

Yes, they appear to be turning both the interior and exterior lights on and off sporadically (though a few interior lights look to be faulty).

On another note, does anyone actually know what’s wrong with the unit? Why has it been stuck there for so long?

Last reported on Trainlogger at the location on 08/11. From what I’m told elsewhere its gearbox is knackered.

Going by pure guesswork, on Realtime a VSTP move ran yesterday to Slade Green, possibly 911?

It had metal in its gearboxes hence why it was stopped.

Looks like it's 465005 and 465178's turn in being outside the Grosvenor shed for ages.
