Was at Whalley Railway Station in Lancs today, and noticed a LCC sign saying the car park is due to close next month and that the ramp to Platform 1, the only accessible way of accessing the platform, will no longer be in use.

Does anyone have any more details on this, as if permanent it seems a bit of a backwards step to remove disabled access?

Is this a continuation of a previous dispute between the car park site owner and Lancashire County Council?
