That will be the insurance claim from hell. Appears the CRJ hadn't pulled forward far enough while the A380 (running late for departure) wasn't paying enough attention to clearences.

No injuries, though the CRJ passengers would have been a bit shaken up

Well for a start you can't see the wingtips from the cockpit, the onboard cameras are just to make sure the plane doesnt run off the taxiway

Really? They've been given a command to carry on, and so they assume everything is safe etc.

If anything, it seems the CRJ was going rather slow, and about another 5 metres could have saved the whiplash !

I can imagine the passengers on the Comair CRJ-700 had quite a shock when it spun round! hock:

It appears that the Air France A380 had been given ATC clearance to follow the yellow centre line

The investigators will be asking:
- Were the pilots of the A380 informed by the ATC of the presence of the CRJ?
- Was the CRJ waiting at the correct position?
- Could the A380 pilots see the CRJ from where they were ?
