Looks like you had a good day then....37s to Weymouth

Would have loved to have done that journey yesterday. But I had allready made other plans, the 37 and 33 Marylebone to Quainton Road mini-tour. If I knew before that the 37's were doing Weymouth yesterday, I would have done that instead. But no one knew about it till a week or so before anyway, so never mind.
What's this about "the last of the loco hauled to Weymouth"? The last this Summer yes. But not the last EVER?
Well at least one of the MK2s in the current set used to be in use with Wessex.
does it still have sideswipe damage, like it had last November?
First great western plan to use dmus on the additional service to Weymouth next year.
Just viewed a few videos of this working on the net, considering people moan there should be more TOC's doing such things you would think they could behave themselves when they do, a few videos showed flailing blatently going on, with 37's working this surely it would be one NR would watch closely to see how it went. 37670 also not sounding brilliant, popping quite a bit in what i have just watched.
Some of the lovely GW employees that were with Mr Hopwood were flailing. As can be seen on YouTube

Ah right, I could not ell that but there you go, someone with first hand knowledge, nice to see FGW/DBS running/oraganising this anyway although I knew it would be rammed so decided not to bother.
Not saying others weren't 37412. Just a post. It was exceedingly rammed, 'other' ways of getting on board were used on the return![]()
