Hi I was wondering if anyone had any old timetables from Westward Travel of Wotton-under-edge? Does anyone remember the workers bus W10 or the Asda free bus they ran to longwell Green?
Wrong side of Bristol for me but I remember the Asda free buses, I think the one to Bedminster was operated by Eagle Coaches using an ex WMPTE Bristol VR.Hi I was wondering if anyone had any old timetables from Westward Travel of Wotton-under-edge? Westward had an ex AA service Denis Dominator ECS59V which I saw a few times (along with sister ECS58V which was owned by Filers at Stanton Wick). Wetward had a Leyland National PTD673S which survives
Not personally but a few on Flickr, just put the registrations in the search bar

Thanks for your reply. You got a photo of it at all?
Hey have you got a copy of any of those timetables?Their services from Yate to KLB School were a regular sighting for me for many years up until I moved out the area. Remember the routes having a mixture of coaches and buses on them including at times...VRs and also remember ABUS occasionally providing a vehicle.
Seem to recall Westward Travel discontinued all their surviving school routes in July 2019 but not sure how long the business kept going for after that.
There are a few general South Gloucestershire timetable booklets from the early 00s which show the timetables for their school bus routes of the time which from memory were services to KLB, Marlwood/Castle and Bristol Independent schools. Seem to remember there being a note stating that all the school bus services listed were available for usage by the general public which suggests there was a much different attitude to members of the public using school buses back then.
Remember once having to ring Westward Travel from work (Bristol City Council) to inform them about a last minute road closure on one of their school bus routes and remember the person they put me through coming across as a professional who really knew their stuff.
Yeah such a shame isn’t it! They had a good few buses for the work they didI'm guessing Westward have wound up the business? Not seen them around since 2020 or so. Shame because they had a tidy little fleet but COVID did a number on a lot of smaller firms.
