Can anyone advise can the WY Family day saver be used by groups of 4-5 children without an adult? I’m thinking teens.

wymetro.com appears to be down but the M Card Mobile app suggests not - see attached.

I don't see why not.

Families, of up to two adults with three concessionary travellers or one adult with up to four concessionary travellers, can enjoy unlimited off-peak bus and train travel anywhere in West Yorkshire.

There is nothing to say that someone who is entitled to concessionary travel has to use that concession, i.e. nothing to stop a child paying the adult fare.

They might get some funny looks though, especially if they obviously look like children.

As long as there is a minimum of one adult in the party, the ticket will be valid. Don't forget an adult counts as somebody age 16 or over.

You could therefore have five people age between 16 and 19, two of whom are travelling as adults, and three of whom are using their West Yorkshire under 19 photo cards to qualify as concessions.

And of course, any other iteration thereof - such as one person 16 or over and four people younger than 16 etc etc
