I have never heard of that ticket. I would question whether it even still exists. There is no record of it in the fares data. It has probably been permanently scrapped (and it must have been very short lived and poorly publicised) but it is difficult to say for certain. I also note that both the South Western Railway website and the National Rail Enquiries website still mention the Waterside Wanderer ticket (a day rover for the Southampton and Romsey and Eastleigh areas) which was scrapped almost two years ago. They are not very good at updating the ranger and rover information on their websites.

The 'GB Rail Rover Guide' website has it with: 'fares correct 1st March 2026' (Adult £30, child £18, no railcards), valid from 9.00 Mon-Fri, purchase: online, train conductor, station ticket office.

I asked at Southern Vectis’ inquiry office in Newport this morning, but even though the girl went and asked in the back office, she couldn’t help. It seems to be an entirely railway organised offer and SV have no input.

The waterside wanderer ticket is available. I purchased one from Romsey about a month ago with no problems.

How much was it? Is it still £13.50 (or £11.80 with a railcard)?
