West Wales lines

I am planning to do the three branches in West Wales , Fishguard, Pembroke dock and Milford Haven as part of a South Wales rover in September. Probably starting from Swansea or Llanelli in the morning.

Has anyone done this and have any suggestions on the best order to do them. Also are there any bus short cuts between the terminals to save on doubling back.

I did Fishguard on what was the mid morning through train from Newport (11:00 ex Swansea now) first, then back to LLanelli, then to Pembroke Dock arr 16:16, local bus 356 (First Cymru) at 16;46 to Milford Haven which stops at the train station and Tesco supermarket at 17:25, then I think it was the 19:12 back to Cardiff, there is probably an alternative way. This suited me.

It isn't the easiest by train due to some rather poor connections at Whitland.

Bus route 356 I agree will probably be easiest to get from Pembroke Dock to Milford Haven
