West Somerset Railway - staffing review

According to the WSR website a staffing review has resulted in 3 senior management posts being removed and with regret the post holders notified they are leaving the service of the railway.

Isn't the West Somerset Railway owned by Somerset County Council currently? Perhaps this could be due to more severe council cuts that almost all councils throughout the UK seem to be experiencing?

The Freehold of the line and stations are, but they're leased to the WSR plc (which has its own ownershjp structure). These redundancies have nothing to do with local government.

I feel sorry for the three made redundant, not the best start to the year. The WSR needs to find more volunteers to take pressure of its finances.
