West Midlands Metrobus Farewell

If there is anyone who fancies a nostalgic final trip on Travel West Midlands’ stalwart Metrobuses, or want to take some final photos before they are gone from the streets of Birmingham forever, then you’ll be interested to know that this Saturday, 24th July, Acocks Green depot is holding a final farewell event for the four remaining West Midlands vehicles. The four remaining Metrobuses will be operating on routes 1, 11A, 31, 37 and 72.

There will also be a display of preserved Metrobuses, and sales stands at Acocks Green depot.

Times for the services the Metrobuses are expected to see use on have been posted on Wikipedia, last bus will be returning to depot at 15:20.

I think so! Any opportunity to get them back out on the road for a day seems to be taken up with great enthusiasm by Natex West Midlands!
