My son has been catching the train to collage for the last 18 months, but was late one morning and didn't get a ticket. He was approached by a guard and spoken to.
He has now received a fine which we have appealed .He has apologised and we have shown them the last 6mths worth of tickets hoping that that they would see that he isn't a fare dodger and it was a one off incident.
He has had his appeal refused and must pay £184.We don't have this money and I am really stressed. Is there anything else I can do?

Please tell us the full details.
How old?
What journey - stations, time?
What fine? What appeal? Please upload a picture of the document he was given at the time and any letters he was sent about it (covering up personal details and reference numbers etc.) and your appeal.
What ticket does he normally buy? How much?
