On 20 /03/26 I travelled from Great Malvern GMV ( 08:56) to Birmingham International BHI via Worcestershire Parkway WOP and Birmingham New Street BHM . The last leg , 10:06 West midland train to BHI was showing delayed so I got the later Avanti train instead . The following day I set out to claim delay repay and found the West Midland Railways web site would not find or accept a start time from GMV of 08:56 , it was though the Great Western train didn't exist . I could enter manualy both the WOP to BHM and BHM to BHI legs. While I was doing this I realised my delay was just under 15 mins so did not proceed but can anyone explain why the system could not accept the 08:56 departure ? TrainSplit will offer this routing .

It's not that it doesn't accept it, it's just that the website only shows the fastest itineraries. It's fine just to enter it manually, I almost always end up doing so.
I tried manually entering the start time and each leg and it didnt find the GWR train to WOP. I could manually enter the other two legs. This might also explain why last year I did the same journey via WOP , in reverse , and arrived back at Great malvern 47 mins later than planned due to a cancelled West Midland train . I claimed for the relevant delay and they paid me out for 1 hour + , delay . which would have been if I had waited for the next West Midland train. I quired it and they confirmed it was correct.
