Gas explosion leads to evacuation
A gas explosion has led to dozens of residents being led from their homes in the middle of the night.
About 80 people were forced to leave their homes after the gas leak and minor blast in Sinclair Road, Shepherds Bush at 2300 BST on Wednesday.

Hammersmith Town Hall is being used as a temporary shelter for residents as gas engineers try to determine the source of the leak.

A 100m exclusion zone has been set up in the area.

The leak has affected local travel services - trains are suspended on Southern and Silverlink Metro trains between Clapham Junction and Watford Junction.

West London line remains closed to electric trains between Kensington
and Shepherds Bush, latest estimate is it will remain so until 10.00.

Eurostar intended to drag some sets from North Pole to Kensington using
class 37s and match wagons.
EWS freights with class 92s being diesel hauled between Wembley and
Kensington.

I understand that all trains being diesel hauled will only be as far as
Kensington Olympia where diesel locos will be detached. South of
Kensington electrics have been permitted to run.
