Just wanted to see how popular this light railway is with other forum members. I was walking the mouth of the River Douglas and passed the site of the West Lancashire Light Railway (2 foot).
West Lancashire Light Railway
It looks very small and takes up space very close to the disused line connecting Southport and Preston directly. I had a little nosey but it was not on a running day.
It's not near any railway stations other than Croston and Rufford and these are about 20 minutes by car.
Has anyone been there/volunteers there?
Otherwise just an advertisement.
