Shots from the West Highlands, taken over the last three days.

1 - 61994 The Great Marquess climbs round Loch Dubh
2 - Sleeper in the evening sunlight on Rannoch Moor
3 - 61994 at Loch Dubh
4 - 61994 at Loch nan Uamh in tropical conditions
5 - 61994 at the 'Wetlands' near Glenfinnan
6 - 45231 on a private charter to Oban, travelling down Glen Lochy hauling the Queen of Scots set. Not bad, if you can afford it
7 - 44871 hauling the afternoon Jacobite trip at Lochailort. The noise reverberating round the cliff face was something to behold. It is carrying a 'Cambrian' headboard. Note the Mark II coach in the formation
8 - morning Sleeper in the Monessie valley
9 - 61994 working hard up to Morar
10 - 61994 passes the semaphore signal at Fort William junction yard

1 - 45231 with a private charter to Oban and the Queen of Scots set, in Glen Lochy
2 - 61994 at Loch Dubh
3 - 44871 with the afternoon Jacobite at Lochailort, taken from up on the cliffs
4 - 61994 making a lot of smoke at Corpach. The smoke seems to have gone up into the air and sunk onto the water
5 - 45231 on the rear of the Q of Scots set being hauled over Loch Awe viaduct. And somebody emptying what appears to be a bottle of Bucks Fizz out of the carriage window
6 - 61994 in paradise at Loch nan Uamh. The 1 in 48 Beasdale Bank can truly be appreciated in this shot
7 - 44871 about to enter the first of the tunnels near Polnish, afternoon Jacobite trip
8 - morning Sleeper half an hour away from journey's end
9 - a shot taken at 10.40 pm at ISO 25 600, to illustrate 45231 running with its support coach high up in the hills above Loch Tulla, north of Bridge of Orchy. The fire can be seen glowing
10 - 37 685 Loch Arkaig hauling the Q of Scots set and 45231 + support coach back to Crianlarich through Glen Lochy

Finally got round to viewing these, and as expected, stunning!

What's the story behind that Queen Of Scots set? its a right mash up of coaches!

Thanks folks. I had no idea the Q of S set still existed till I saw it on that trip. Looks a bit fragile if you ask me.
