You can hardly see any of the trains properly?! Maybe a better location is needed...

Thats what I was thinking actually. I found a better place and would have gone there, but I would have had to go through a really muddy field, where those pics are from a bridge area. But as I have said, when the weather gets better, I'll go to this location and picture them from there

Sounds like your other location might be better.

The shot with the gantry might be alright something like a long exposure shot.

there are loads of location near to you mate try castlethorpe (north end, exit of village on the road to hanslope) there is a field that normally has highland cows in if you follow down the side you have a good shot of trains approaching in the up direction.

yeah, I do know about that field (mainly as I go past it each day I go to school and home) and I know the farmer who owns that field as well. I can ask him, but remember that it is private land.

fair enough try near ashton neutral section as well, on the bend on the up side you can see trains approaching in both directions

on stations or lineside, just north out of bedford on the a6 there is a layby right next to the line which would be good, or just north of amptill tunnel there i an overbridge that is good as well
