Having surrendered the Premier Travel Licence some time ago, the West Coast Coaches licence has also been revoked, as reported in N&P issue 1993, 29th October 2012.

Section 2.8 – Licences Revoked Without a Public Inquiry
WEST COAST COACHES LTD
Director(s): IAN THOMSON, DAVID HASTIE, MICHAEL ANTHONY MCSHERRY.
PM1049376 SN
(1993)
UNIT 78, EVANS BUSINESS CENTRE, MITCHELSTON DRIVE, MITCHELSTON INDUSTRIAL ESTATE, KIRKCALDY KY1 3NB, GB
Registered Bus Services running under this licence have also been revoked with immediate effect.

The firm, which when it was Premier Travel, did coach tours and private hires. Also had the contract for the Dunfermline Athletic FC team bus (now with rennies). Latterly, it did a couple of bingo buses, and also school buses to swimming pools, but not much else. No local services were ever operated.

With this firms demise (it once had a fleet of 18 vehicles, now reduced at the end to 3 buses), we think the third largest firm in Fife is now St. Andrews executive travel, with Bay Travel of crossford the fourth largest.

What size of fleet does Hamish Gordon have these days?
