West Burton Gypsum diagrams question

Good evening everyone, with the closure of West Burton the coal diagrams disappeared from the WTT, however I've noticed on RTT the Gypsum trains still remain, is there any reason for this and if so will there be other trains out of West Burton before the timetable changes once more?

Yes quite, I live near the line that served High Marnham and would love a time machine to see how it all was in busier times.

It's just that the path hasn't been deleted. A bit like the Devon logs that haven't run in years.

Perhaps there are still usable piles of fly ash or de-sulpherisation gypsum lying around that can be recovered and sent for use in cement manufacturing or plasterboard?

I guess that makes sense, but then the MGR diagrams were deleted as soon as the timetable changed

If there wasn't stuff in the way*, I could easily see the cooling towers of the very final coal fired power station (at Ratcliff-On-Soar) from the roof of my house.

It would be great if they could keep one or two of the towers, maybe stick a viewing platform and cafe on top, a massive crazy golf course inside (they're all the rage again I hear), and have facilities for abseiling down the sides.

Seriously, I will miss them if they're demolished; they've been my "nearly home" marker coming back from London etc. on the train for nearly 40 years now.

Off topic but Uniper have received planning permission to demolish the two southernmost cooling towers. Taking them down was a condition relating to the new plant that is to be constructed there. It is these two that were reinforced following the collapse of cooling towers at Ferrybridge.

Back on topic... maybe the paths to/from West Burton have been left in, in case they want to remove waste from demolition that way?
