Monday will see 60040 + 31108 leave Leeming Bar for Doncaster Belmont. The train will depart Leeming at around 09:30 and will be formed as follows:
60040 + 4 EWS Mk.2 Opens + 1 EWS Mk.2 BSO 31108 (DIT)
The train will run to Springwell Lane (Northallerton) before the 60 comes off the front and joins 31108 at the rear. The train will propel into Castle Hills Loop before running band road into Northallerton Station and crossing onto the up slow. The train will be formed as follows for the run to Doncaster Belmont:
60040 + 31108 (DIT) + 1 EWS Mk.2 BSO + 4 EWS Mk.2 Opens
This working will run to Doncaster and be split for onward transfer. 60040 has worked light from Peak Forest on Thursday before forming the 6Z50 to Leeming Bar conveying the same stock. The train ran round at Springwell Lane before leaving for Leeming Bar at around 13:00. An WR Mk.2 BSO (WR traffic red on the south side & blue/cream to the North side) was attacthed to the rear in case a royal 67 was in consist as was planned should one have been spare before the train left Doncaster. The return working WILL NOT feature this coach.
60040 is hauling several workings (5 i think) over the weekend and had a wash this morning courtesy of the Leeming Bar fitters. The 110/108 steam set is beeing used for 3 return DMU drags today using 31108. Locomotives hauling trains on Saturday & Sunday will be 31108, 47703, 47715 & 60040. The DMU will run between Bedale and Springwell Lane for freight only milage and 03144 will run a special run to Springwell Lane from Leeming Bar tonight leaving 20:00 and returing 21:30 the train will use the WR brake and 'Sarah' the TSO. EWS stock (and WR Brake) will be used for Redmire Services.
NOTE - Friday night beer train will be top 'n' tailed with 60040 (out) & 47703 (back). Times are 18:30 Leeming (d.) 20:30 Redmire (d.) and 21:30 Leeming (a.)
