Can anyone help me please with the best lines for unwelded/jointed track in the area served by the Welsh Valleys Day Ranger as looking to have fun over the worst parts!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you :)

Someone will be along to advise you with local knowledge , but a lot of the "old" track was joint welded a long time ago to give better ambience after the bogied 150's were replaced by 142's in the mid 1990's (this was the old Cardiff Railway company saving money by trading in 150's for cheaper 142's) - of course a programme of national relaying has gone on since then.
