Welsh Marches Express, 14th May

Through my letter-box this morning came a leaflet for this - "One of Britains Most Luxurious Train Jurneys", to run on 14th May. Details of the route are Coventry, Leamington Spa, Banbury, Oxford, Swindon, Chippenham, Bath Spa. Elsewhere on the leaflet it says the train will be "Steam-hauled from Bristol" and then a bit later "Passing through the Severn Tunnel we take the fast line to Newport" .

Does this mean steam hauled through the Severn tunnel?

Yes. It’s not at all uncommon. I did a Welsh Marches trip last summer which was steam from Temple Meads.

Run by Saphos, operated by LSL. Most likely 47-hauled as far as Bristol.
