Welsh Highland Railway - recent pictures.

I was in North Wales last week and over the weekend to see and photograph the trains on the newly opened section of the Welsh Highland Railway.

The first selection of my pictures is now on the www and some of you might find them of interest :

Nice 1 Ron, i will be heading up over the easter break, prob porth to beddgelert as i have done the other lot loads of times.

I helped lay the track through the pass so there will always be a part of that railway that will be 'mine'

it`s really good seeing people having the good old steam trains back into attention where they belong instead of been in a scrap yard Rustin away

I know what you mean; there are several bits of the deviation on the Ffestiniog where I helped to lay track so those will always be 'mine'!

Indeed it is; however, the Lyd seen in the picture below has never been rusting in a scrapyard - she's brand, spanking new! She was built in the Ffestiniog Railway's own workshops at Boston Lodge and outshopped in 2010.
