I suspect the product and market is so niche that you are unlikely to get that scenario. Developing, testing and certifying a product like that won't be a quick or cheap process.

One of the FAEs I work with actually came to the particular supplier from Hannover. It's something that in an ideal world I'd love to have a crack at, but it's much nicer having someone else worrying about the admin and sales side of things.
Happened quite a lot in the railway industry.

The indigo is looking a bit grim this morning. Demolition works have brought Nottingham city centre to a standstill and currently every bus tracking on the indigo is clustered at the Nottingham end of the route. Between Beeston and Derby there's nothing.
Seems like chaos again this time it's Long Eaton, bustimes.org shows 7 indigo buses Nottingham bound stuck in Long Eaton with one running nearly 2 hours late.

The roads in Long Eaton are absolute chaos. My wife has abandonded the bus to walk to her doctors appointment. The council in their wisdom have got major roadworks as part of levelling up. Well its working nobody can get anywhere and everyone is late. 10 million well spent so far

Trentbarton said My15 was diverting to Long Eaton railway station. The next thing was an accident on Wilsthorpe island, creating more chaos.

It's going to be extra fun for the skylink Notts and my15 drivers (well, any drivers really) when they put the temporary lights on Harrington Bridge near the marina... you may as well walk from Castle Donington to Long Eaton at this rate

Surely it will be time to divert via the M1 as happens when the Trent floods. These roadworks throughout Trentbartons operating area must be costing the company a fortune. Is compensation available?

Must be doing the same to distribution companies too...

I think luckily for the distribution depots at Sawley roundabout and castle donnington they use the A50 for access as Sawley station bridge prevents access to Long Eaton and its travel mayhem
But the likes of Asda and Tesco and similar, get regular timed deliveries.. One gets that work has to take place, but you'd think there would be a guiding mind that would avoid such chaos.

Okay, not a Wellglade bus.. But the registration plate reminded me when Unibus Optare Solos had UOD plates. I just can't recall which ones they had . Over to the experts.

could be to do with it not being the original front? They sourced a scrap hybrid versa from MCR airport & used the front shell when 836 had a accident in Duffield (believe that’s where it happened anyhow)
Almost right in front of Duffield Hall, where the Derbyshire Building Society was.

Still surprised that something along these lines wasn’t done to bring 845 back on the road too.

Correct - the damage to 845 was worse than 836
I thought it looked like a banana, in shape. You drive along, have right of way, and someone in a big car just drives into you. Driving standards are getting worse. More stressful for the poor bus drivers.

Wasn't the chassis damaged? If that's the case then that's pretty much a guaranteed end to any vehicle
Do Optare Versas actually have a chassis, or are they integrals (or whatever they are called)?

Once Versas are in service on Swift I presume they'll permanently change the route in Denstone so that they go the same way through the village on both Derby and Uttoxeter bound journeys, to avoid the sharp turn onto Alton Road?

..and it’s already been sent back to the depot. Watched everyone get kicked off in Derby with money back tickets in hand

Well something clearly must've happened, if it's a mechanical fault then it really isn't a good look for TB, or it could've been something "ridiculous", like the wipers packing up or one of the panels had come undone

Suspension was to high apparently (assuming an airbag fault) & it wasn’t safe to be used at 50mph.. only 4 buses on Swift now so I’m assuming it hasn’t been replaced..

Seemingly a bus missing off the Comet too, no spare bus. One person clearly wasn't impressed.

Assuming Bustimes is correct 329 has picked up the third Comet diagram starting with the 1605 from Derby... better late than never I guess!

Similarly 780 has been put onto the Swift in place of 836 after a slightly more respectable 1½ missed trips (!)

Considering Cat and Fiddle has reopened today High Peak have said the temporary timetable for 58 will continue till next Monday, what's the reason for this?

Why can't it return to normal route sooner?

Maybe the route was opened earlier than expected and weekly diagrams had been put in place.

3 weeks early and as I understand it the only notification was a general facebook post on Saturday so even if there were suitable duties prepared, which I believe there weren't (there have been general timetable changes since the Cat & Fiddle closed and there is a 3 week closure on the 60 that was due to start the moment the Cat & Fiddle reopened after half-term), there was no time to accommodate such a major change to the rotas.

Bustimes tracking history suggests that the service 66 is currently terminating in Hathern instead of Loughborough, anyone know why, or is it perhaps some kind of glitch?
