I think those plates used to belong to some Notts & Derby Solos. 442 was definitely R26 BUS.

R25 to R29 BUS were all originally carried by Notts and Derby Solos.

R25 BUS 441
R26 BUS 442
R27 BUS 453
R28 BUS 454
R29 BUS 456.

I seem to recall the numbers were carried at the request of (or they paid for them?) The University of Derby, as these were used on the University services.

Yes, many years ago four Leopards were re-registered using plates from four Tiger Cubs that had been sold to Thornhill Poultry.

They were…

SCH 1R became YRC 180
SCH 2R became YRC 181
CVO 3T became YRC 182
PRR 4X became YRC 194.

These have subsequently been used on various vehicles in the fleet, YRC 194 was eventually reunited with the Cub it had originally come off.

Also, the ex Optare Delta demonstrator 300 (G910 XFC) was reregistered as G600 NRC, which came off the late Malcolm Hitchin’s company car to give a registration number closer to its fleet number.

Delays around the Sutton network are being caused by prolonged gasworks in Sutton in Ashfield which then has a knock on effect on the entire network aside from connect. Unfortunately this has caused upto 90 minute delays to both the threes and nines - even 90 lately.

Been around Sutton, Mansfield & Kirkby & honestly the traffic is abysmal, spent 40 mins queuing upto Kirkby Cross one time..

Trent barton have started to put private plates on volvos XPRSS 38 buses 718-722 R25BUS-R29BUS I wonder if all the other volvos are being done

Indeed, it's been a torrid time for us at Sutton over the last few weeks, but the gasworks are very nearly complete.

I only remembered, when I saw a University vehicle with one of the plates on, the other day. Maybe the "BUS" reg plates were on those Solos they used on the Hl , that was the Hospital Link in Derby, before it became the Royal
