I've personally seen it at derby bus station and I think it looks brilliant with the black headlight clusters and the colourful front panelAny pictures?

It has full truth in itHaving had a particularly sluggish and rough sounding journey on a Sixes Versa, I think it'd be pointless to put them on the Swift or Comet, as these routes are very nearly as demanding. I hope this rumour has no truth in it.
Damn it.It has full truth in it
Better than a Solo, maybe. It has full truth in it
No commentBetter than a Solo, maybe.. Just
That would make sense to send them out one by one given the Versas are more prone to going off. That being said, just two of the branded ones on VOR at the moment, so that’s pretty good!Yes, I saw it in A garage at Derby around lunchtime. Maybe they will enter service when ready, rather than all at once
You love them, really. You just don't say it.No comment
I actually saw a standing load on a 6.1 Versa today. Odd the High Peak Citaro looked quiet, that was alongside it . Maybe there had been cancellations on the 6.2/6.3 around 13.30 ISH. Maybe it brought 771 out earlier than expected, rather than have gaps in service. Didn't Solo 492 go to cover Little Sixes? That would make sense to send them out one by one given the Versas are more prone to going off. That being said, just two of the branded ones on VOR at the moment, so that’s pretty good!
I remember them doing it gradually with introducing the Versas on The Sixes when they replaced the Scanias, it took months to get them all out on the route, not sure if Covid had anything to do with the progress of the Rainbow one MMC’s which were displaced the Versas or whether they had all been delivered by then.
I can remember Scania 685 staying on the Sixes right up to the Summer of 2021 which was a nice final hurrah!
A cross-post would be appreciated, especially for those who don't use Facebook. There is one on Facebook Fans of the Wellglade group.
Then we were blessed with 659 and 685 for some time after, but only gained 657 for a week before it went to Nottingham. That would make sense to send them out one by one given the Versas are more prone to going off. This was the photo posted, the front doesn't look overly good...A cross-post would be appreciated, especially for those who don't use Facebook.
The front looks a bit OTT in my opinion. This was the photo posted, the front doesn't look overly good...
IMO it would look better if the headlights were yellow instead of black but it is a really nice liveryThis was the photo posted, the front doesn't look overly good...
Don't worry you'll still see them in Derby and across the network. So the versas days are certainly numbered on sixes now
I agree tbf, it just looks a bit too busy for my liking. Still generally a nice livery though. The front looks a bit OTT in my opinion.
I suppose it’s still nice to see some branded wrights back on there having reminisced about the scanias!
Yes, but it all about "the brand". Money is a secondary concern to the brand. As for the Versas "share the joy". Not like the Volvos will last forever.Don't worry you'll still see them in Derby and across the network.
The front panel on the new livery will be an interesting additional cost when replacement is needed - the temporary threes one that 778-80 had cost £500 just for the front one.
Yes the timetable is currently being reviewed internally as we speak.I agree tbf, it just looks a bit too busy for my liking. Still generally a nice livery though.
Will there be a new timetable at some stage to correspond with the rebrand?
But I thought you loved Versas on the 90!!Yes the timetable is currently being reviewed internally as we speak.
@Trainman40083 it would've been lovely for 3 Volvos to have been sent to us for the 90 as a nice retirement present for them.
They're ideal for the route but Volvos would be a lot nicerBut I thought you loved Versas on the 90!!
Now, now. Everybody on every route could say that. Hey, I actually saw rebranded Sixes Volvo 771 today !They're ideal for the route but Volvos would be a lot nicer
Was replaced by 811... which then had a problem in milford as well! Now, now. Everybody on every route could say that. Hey, I actually saw rebranded Sixes Volvo 771 today !Heading from Belper to Derby out of service, having worked in on a late 6.3.
Maybe the roadworks near Duffield Broadway and around St Helen's Street in Derby got too much for them. Was replaced by 811... which then had a problem in milford as well!
Training school is alleged to be gaining someWhats the plan for the volvos that will be displaced on swift and comet by versas? Staying as spares or are we going to start seeing more b7s being cascaded within wellglade or withdrawn?
Maybe to replace the lovely Centros... Maybe the training school Scanias are getting a little tired.Training school is alleged to be gaining some
More for notts and derby have been speculated
Fairly certain that this isn't set in stone.... it makes sense as a rumour but tbf I can't see Derby wanting to keep those Versas for any longer.Whats the plan for the volvos that will be displaced on swift and comet by versas? I would also personally be surprised especially given the nature of the comet and swift - i could understand them being put onto less demanding routes such as connect and 90; comet and swift seems far fetched considering they can’t cope with the sixesFairly certain that this isn't set in stone.... it makes sense as a rumour but tbf I can't see Derby wanting to keep those Versas for any longer.
It was confirmed by both the MD and the Operations Director as being true.Fairly certain that this isn't set in stone.... it makes sense as a rumour but tbf I can't see Derby wanting to keep those Versas for any longer.

Not sure what makes you think the 90 is 'less demanding' it covers a mixture of rural, urban and national speed limit roads between Ripley and Mansfield also incorporates a range of conditions along the way.I would also personally be surprised especially given the nature of the comet and swift - i could understand them being put onto less demanding routes such as connect and 90; comet and swift seems far fetched considering they can’t cope with the sixes
Training school out as late as 10pm now.Maybe to replace the lovely Centros... Maybe the training school Scanias are getting a little tired.
