They are having some software updates at the moment, but they are handling the demanding threes route very well.

Yes, but you got to share the joy.. Well, maybe not 815. So, one might summise the Nines ones like parking up in odd places. They certain like Lower Kilburn. That said their slightly younger 67 plate sisters seem to be similar. What does amaze me though, is the former i4 Tempo SRs appear to still be going strong in Ipswich. And most of the Tempos with Lynx in Kings Lynn.

I am really pleased that the Tempos are going strong at Lynx. The 54 plates were a fantastic drive. The 07 plates had character but were still leaps and bounds better than any Versa.

One Tempo has just been withdrawn due to an accident. I remember a ride on a Black Cat Tempo, about a week old. Door fell off. I guess the Versa is just an elongated Solo.

Though I have to say in terms of connect and 90 (more so connect) the Versas are perfect.
Are any of those in the book destined for Wellglade.... that's the question

I actually asked a TB driver if the 4 pot Allestree Enviro 200MMCs would be a great choice on the V3. The driver has worked both. They laughed and said something about Newton Solney hill..Maybe we’re just too used to being tortured by the Solos but getting a Versa is a lovely treat for us on the V3

If they can't get them as quickly and what with all the warranty issues they seem to be having (my that must affect ADL profits), I did wonder if they would look elsewhere. Of course, with the changes at Meadow Road, there ought to be space for facilities for alternative fuel .

The 4 cylinder voith gearbox ones I've driven on the Calverton weren't much fun on Georges Hill it must be said, but having driven V, W and X reg solos on the route...

Aw Versa 811 seems to have had a puncture at Clay Cross on the Comet. 717 is on the Comet to help out.

Yeah, 269 never handled the route well when it was a spare, but 500 is no better going up Bladon Hill either.
Unsure what happened today as I wasn’t on the V3s but I did hear that there was only one bus out for a bit. 811 was cleared and sent out to replace 500.

I remember when a Lothian painted Gemini worked the 73 from Derby to Weston on Trent. Big bus on the route by Notts and Derby. Nowadays, I wonder if the last Lothian painted decker, 1402 , is off to TM Travel.
