Before the Derby to Chesterfield leg became known as The Comet. That reminds me, wouldn't it be better for Trent Barton to increase the frequency of The Comet back to every 30 minutes or have that leg reinstated again?

As I understood it, it wasn't overly profitable these days, so isn't seeing investment.

The skylinks are now all registered on DVLA, plus 340 was tracking on bustimes at Langley Mill. Surely it can't be too much longer now

It was interesting the other day, that someone expressed surprise that the current Red Arrow coaches were being replaced. Given the diagrams, I would have thought many of the existing 65 plated coaches would have clocked up 1 million miles by now .. Must be 100,000 miles a year.

TM Travel have gained another double decker in their fleet, ADL Enviro400 fleet number 1400, appears to be an ex Arriva vehicle. Went into service yesterday and a photo was posted on the TM Travel fans Facebook group of it in the depot with it wearing an advert for route 218 to Chatsworth/Bakewell. Approx 800k miles on them looking at their most recent MOT, they are approaching 10 years old so no surprises they are being replaced, especially when their reliability record hasnt been great recently

It must be the longest loan Trentbarton has ever had.. ...or there are an awful lot of warranty repairs.
Perhaps been extended to help fill in for shortages from the recent fires? The fact its moved to LM suggests the warranty works on the threes batch is probably finished

Hopefully tb will be in a better place vehicle wise at least once the spare mangos come back from kinch - plus their skylinks being cascaded

When I looked through the MOT data, it seemed to swap between miles and kilometers

They do but they are about equivalent - ie 81 was on 977000km in 2023, 1107000km in 2024, then 782000miles in 2025

About 100000miles per year as average but then considering time off road and cuts during covid its about right

822 seems to be having a spot of bother in Quorn at the moment as it's been showing as stationary on Bustimes for over an hour, with 478 having been pulled off the 5 to replace it on the 3.

Not been the best of starts for the new Loughborough network - but perhaps only to be expected if you expand the network but not the availability of roadworthy vehicles. 830 has also been playing up again this week, causing 11 to run hourly on Tuesday from mid-pm, nd 12 to run hourly on Wednesday after 7pm. With DRT 1030 out of action - again! - since 29 Jun one or other of the Sprint Solos has been permanently assigned to DRT. Leaves very little leeway when breakdowns occur. That said, 822 was quickly returned to service and is now on 5. Kinch just managed to avoid an embarrassing hole in service 3 - but the same can't be said for the new 5. Not a good advert when you're looking to build a new customer base.

Good job 346 and 347 have entered service then. I wonder what they will blame this time?

For those who couldn't go (especially because of the weather), here's the new Red Arrow bus in all its glory.

The new coulours are slowly growing on me but still not a huge fan especially of the red triangle at the back. I think they had it perfect with how the current plaxtons look. However the interior looks nice in the pictures I’ve seen and hopefully it should take some strain off the spare vehicles that have been on the route for a while. What’s the entry into service date for these?
