Much of the time, there is no spare for the Mickleover route.
Because they are normally out on the red arrow or sixes I find. After the red arrow I do think it is one of the better routes to not put a spare on if there is not enough to go round as much of the route has the villager so would still have 7 buses an hour.

Ah but 712 is already in Mango livery
Which not been out in 3 months.

The Derby bus depot is also reporting that the new X38 livery is Orange!
5 former Ilkeston Flyer Volvos are being painted in a bright orange and maroon/brown livery for the X38 service. At least 4 have already been painted.

With both sixes and mickleover they are both a branded vehicle down (crash victims). I do believe they should be prioritied for spares, however then the hourly services should get priority over mickleover.

Certainly will be interesting to see flying down A38

The Sixes is 2 branded buses down really, if you count the little Sixes which now uses branded buses, but another was never painted up.

Re X38. Only orange on the front section as Derby Bus Depot says.

Seems another ex London optare solo will soon be destined for TM travel. I just saw it being towed around pentagon island and into meadow Road depot

Make that two. Just saw two tow trucks with two solos on, again in the depot around the back

Am I right in thinking these are Euro6 compliant?

Yes, they are Euro 6.

I understand TM Travel are expecting 4 Solos and some ex London double deckers; all compliant.

Do you know what deckers?
Not as yet. I imagine TM Travel will be replacing the 1173 to 1178 batch.

Recent arrivals for the Wellglade group are Optare Solos YJ59 NRN/NRO, YJ10 EYF/EYG, YJ60 PFE/PFK. PFK is already TM Travel 1156.

Seems Victoria bus station had a crash earlier, tracking seems to suggest coach 82.

Unsurprising really, I've seen a few videos of ilkeston flyers skidding down roads in ilkeston with a backlog of busses forming behind. Video can be seen on the article below

Black ice is really scary. You can be moving at walking pace, and still slide.

Kinchbus 906 has passed it's MOT today.. But will it go back to Kinchbus?

Any ideas if these would be sold/scrapped or will they go to notts derby to replace the 53 plate batch (40/1/2/5/6/9) or even replace littles sole alx400?

Pictures of both 105/6 are now on Flickr if anyone is interested, both painted into the new mickleover livery as people said before
Also 739 painted in skylink express livery is now on Flickr

I would have thought Notts and Derby would love to get rid of 8 to 10, and the rest of the 40 batch... With something newer than both. Wonder if the Flickr shots are at Langley Mill or Bus and Coach World? Re the potential for a decker to Littles. I'd have thought they would have more interest in another Enviro 400, to give some standardisation

I would imagine the 53-plate Omnis would be replaced by deckers with a similar capacity, being ex-London 1173-78 dont have as many seats

And for that maybe they'd be interested in Nottingham City Transport's remaining Omnidekkas should they be freed up in due course.

I thought they had discounted earlier batches, from Nottingham. I'd think Enviro 400s or Geminis now.

If I was them, I'd get more ex Lothian Geminis (I think some 11 plates are being withdrawn now) as they're high capacity, well maintained, and wouldn't need single door conversion.

I'm sure they would like more Lothian deckers, but many operators are not releasing much of suitable quality..With Lothian buses move between them and Lothian Country. Some even held in reserve.

I don't think Nottingham City Transport are ordering electric deckers yet (none are suitable for them), so it may be a while yet before these are replaced. The 48 is going single-decker next year when more Yutongs arrive, but that will only release 3.

Just spotted a Citaro, all but certainly 906, in Loughborough town centre just now, about to leave Baxter Gate with a 9 to Nottingham.

A new ticket machine on Notts and Derby bus 908 this morning, with a much larger screen and a seperate card reader - 'marked Transmach'. Is that a one off or are Wellglade replacing their machines again?
