£8, as long as you didn't go on any Kinchbus routes (Skylink Derby and routes in Loughborough)I travelled on 6 Trent Barton buses last Saturday, including a journey on the Red Arrow, paying by contactless each time. How much should I have been charged for all that in total?
It’s not entirely clear on the website, and due to being from outside the area I didn’t have a Mango
Why not the Kinchbus routes?£8, as long as you didn't go on any Kinchbus routes (Skylink Derby and routes in Loughborough)
Then it becomes like a Zigzag plus at around £11Why not the Kinchbus routes?
OP said he used contactless. Then it becomes like a Zigzag plus at around £11
Yes, which on Trentbarton would max at, at around £8, or £11 ISH if he used Kinchbus certain routes...OP said he used contactless.
They did bid for hydrogen buses in the ZEBRA 2 scheme, but it got turned down.
Perhaps it's for the better, with Britain's notoriously underdeveloped hydrogen infrastructure that has left hydrogen buses elsewhere such as Birmingham and Liverpool running on empty.
Changing the colour of the Skylink would be perfectly feasible, especially if it came as the result of the procurement of a new Skylink fleet.
Interestingly, Arriva briefly ran a Skylink service of their own between Leicester and the airport via Western Parks, Field Head and the M1(whyever it went that way!), coloured green. One of the buses was the only known rigid right-hand-drive Hispano Habit in the UK.
But I thought that the green colour scheme was reserved for zero-emission buses anyway. And as I said before, I don't think painting all the buses the same shade of green benefits passengers from outside Leicester, as people would have trouble telling different operators' buses
Regarding Moor Bridge the project is on hold at the moment. They have already found one which will probably cause more disruption than the current one in Hucknall.
The mini roundabout, at Moor Bridge between Hucknall and Bulwell, is due to be replaced by traffic lights. Also new bus lanes are to be installed in the area. It was announced a few months ago that this work was to begin before Christmas unless anyone has heard different recently. This could cause major delays on the Trent Barton Threes route between Hucknall and Nottingham.
Vinyls on 703 to be changed to sorry about my appearance soonAdded 742 & 745. I kind of like how 703 is going round Hucknall still fully branded!
Changed 826 to 828.

Why do they bother? There's no need to be apologetic, the Volvos are nice buses. Has a passenger ever taken notice of these? I doubt it.Vinyls on 703 to be changed to sorry about my appearance soon
I've seen quite a few other buses recently that could do with these vinyls!!Why do they bother? There's no need to be apologetic, the Volvos are nice buses. Has a passenger ever taken notice of these? I doubt it.
Skylink, like Stagecoach 148/X7 and Rotala 125 etc aren't required to be Leicester green afaik.

Considering its called ‘Skylink Derby’ (without a Leicester reference in its branding), it could get away with not being green.
That's unfortunate. I assume it's a fully bunt out write-off?A Trentbarton bus has gone up in flames this morning in Ilkeston. My15 branded 804
The rear end is mostly damaged but due to the age of the bus I won't expect it to be repaired. Good thing there are spare Versas! That's unfortunate. I assume it's a fully bunt out write-off?
Because it's in the complete wrong branding for the routes Sutton operates and it allows it be be used across the board - such as on 90 where it's better suited and needed. Why do they bother? There's no need to be apologetic, the Volvos are nice buses. Has a passenger ever taken notice of these? I doubt it.
If they didn’t you’d have enthusiasts on internet forums complaining about the wrong allocation and suggesting it’s because Trent Barton are going down hill, and having loads of over the top drama about itWhy do they bother? There's no need to be apologetic, the Volvos are nice buses. Has a passenger ever taken notice of these? I doubt it.
Ah yes, soon there will be 828...The rear end is mostly damaged but due to the age of the bus I won't expect it to be repaired. Good thing there are spare Versas!
Sixes Versa 836 might be a write off, tooThat's unfortunate. I assume it's a fully bunt out write-off?
Another fire Wellglade could've done without at this stage. It can't be good for their publicity when their buses incinerate themselves every month or two.
Has there been any intervention from the DVSA re all the bus fires this year?
Their all diesel routes at presentSkylink, like Stagecoach 148/X7 and Rotala 125 etc aren't required to be Leicester green afaik.
The Yutongs for the 148 are apparently being delivered in the Local livery.Their all diesel routes at present
From what ive heard they are just for local routes in Nuneaton. The Yutongs for the 148 are apparently being delivered in the Local livery.
They should just put a mango vinyl on the front, everyone would know what it was then. The mango buses are often in hodge podge liveries anyway. If they didn’t you’d have enthusiasts on internet forums complaining about the wrong allocation and suggesting it’s because Trent Barton are going down hill, and having loads of over the top drama about it
By apologising it’s clear it is a known wrong allocation and only temporary
There will be two batches for Nuneaton. The first batch is for routes into Coventry (so 56, 86, 148) for the Electric Bus City requirements (along with deckers for the X17, X18 and Unibus), the buses for local services in Nuneaton (5, 9, 10, 48A), Leamington (1, 67 group) and Rugby (4) are funded from ZEBRA2 and will come later. From what ive heard they are just for local routes in Nuneaton.
Afaik they do, but it's in one big booklet for all services, except the Skylink Derby which is separate. They can often be found onboard the local buses, I'm not sure where else they are stocked though!Do Kinchbus have paper timetables and if so, is there anywhere in Loughborough where they would be stocked?
Do you know the cause of these fires recently?A Trentbarton bus has gone up in flames this morning in Ilkeston. My15 branded 804
Is that their policy? I've seen X38 branded buses running Red Arrow services recently. They should just put a mango vinyl on the front, everyone would know what it was then. The mango buses are often in hodge podge liveries anyway.
Never understood the company policy of not running
service even when they have a bus available - because it's the wrong colour. So what if people post about it on internet forums, at least haven't left passengers at bus stops and generated unnecessary complaints.
X38 has extra spare vehicles while derby are quite short of vehicles currently, so im assuming they'd rather put the spare x38 out on an incorrect route than cancel the runIs that their policy? I've seen X38 branded buses running Red Arrow services recently.
