I see they have been smoking that special something again!:) Seriously though, there was an internal competition for staff members children a few months ago to come up with a design...I guess this is it.

Well that's errr... different!

It's nice that the company are running things like this for children - you never know, it might encourage a few of them to take a positive interest in railways!

A kids competition, makes sense. They had one of those in my local area a few months ago, only the kids got to paint one of the newly constructed town tunnels, not a train. It was quite good actually, considering the fact that most tunnels are covered in graffiti by idiots writing down their phone numbers and offering free sex. :roll:

The design is bright, and a little different from your standard livery, but quite nice.

I say we let the kids do refurbishments next! :)

it could have been worse...
the 2 things about the livery that slighty bother me is the extra block of colour above the doors... and the aplication of part of the livery over the cab doors..

it looks like its just vinyled... so no doubt it will come off in a year or so...
its certainly one way to remove any mention of metronet as art of the livery or art the name on the namelate...

Is the livery different on both sides, the MD of GBRf said it's to different designs on the sides of the loco. I also looked through the photos of the 2x66/7s and the other 66/7, which I think is 66708 seems to have a name, what is the name.

In my opinion, I think the livery is disguting. Far too garish, and doesn't fit with the train. Like other members, I think it looks like graffiti.

A bit garish, but still nice for the kids. I doubt they have much experience of train liveries.

Well, I have to say that the livery has originality in abundance. Wouldn't mind catching a glimpse of it, just wouldn't like seeing it for any length of time! :lol:

As a serious livery, it's awful.

As a nice competition for kids (and one that hopefully won't stay on the loco too long!), I think it's a great idea. :)

Will the kids see the loco enough for it to benefit them though. I can see it being repainted back to in house colours soon.

However it's good for the kids i suppose !

Who owns the company it used to be First?

It is interesting both EWS and GB Railfreight changed hands around the same time. A lot of obsolete liveries

I wont say i like the livery its interesting. But the idea of kids competition to do it is one i really like. Its somthing that could/should be done more.

I have only been impressed by GBRF since Eurotunnel took them over. So this is in my eyes another good thing by them.
