Weird bus or coach dreams

We've got a 'weird rail dreams' thread, so I thought I'd set up a weird bus or coach dream thread

You can include any dream related to buses and/or coach trips.


I remember having one a long time ago, I was driving a Routemaster through Melksham and went down one of the residential roads, but then decided I could'nt be bothered with the road and swung off to take a shortcut, which involved smashing through fences and walls through peoples back gardens!

Another dream involved waiting for what was then the X72 to Bath. I was at Atworth when the bus rolled up. I got on and said to the driver 'can I drive it to Bath?' then he said 'yeah, sure' and got out the cab, then I drove it to the bus station!

I had dreams of driving Volvo B7TLs on route 607 from White City to Uxbridge. So I went and did it last summer. Memory immortalised by some videos taken on board by passengers along the dual carriageway section!

Imagine that!

I dreamt I once drove a Megabus all the way to London - missing out the change over point at East Midlands Parkway. Onboard, as passengers, were Churchill and Hitler playing chess, The Queen, Shania Twain, Stephen Stanton, Ash Misty and Pikachu, Kim Jong Un, Jesus (listening to a Walkman), The Honey Monster and many over famous real and fictional people

A re-post of a very bizarre dream I posted about in the First South West & Wales thread about 18 months ago....

What a most bizarre short dream I had this morning about buses! I've only ever had a few dreams about buses over the years, so me dreaming of buses is not exactly frequent! But I thought I would share it with you. It's useless I know, but may perhaps be of some interest to some of you!

For some reason I was walking along Crow Lane in Henbury just by the lay-by. When I was most amazed to see two yellow Bristol VR's pull in(facing towards the Brentry direction) and pick up passengers . I didn't see what the second bus was right behind. But the first bus in front had 77A UWE on the destination display!! I couldn't quite believe what I was seeing in this present day! "I gotta get a ride on this!" I thought to myself. So I rushed across the road and boarded the bus and asked the driver "What bus company is this then?". I can't recall what the driver said in reply. But I asked for a single to UWE. He said the fare was 75p!! Now the downstairs floor of the bus looked just like I remember the downstairs of a Bristol VR to be. Old fashioned seats, and the staircast in the middle. But I headed upstairs to sit on the top deck as I would normally do on a double decker. When I had got upstairs I was absolutely flabbergasted to discover that the upstairs floor of this bus was a huge restaurant level! And far far larger than the size of a top deck of a bus! "What the.......!!!!!!" I thought, completely and utterly stunned. But just seconds later the dream came to an abrupt end as my alarm clock went off and it was time to get up! What a most bizarre and surreal dream! I think though the fact that I miss the old service 77(though it didn't ever go from Henbury-UWE!!) bus in Bristol and how I want the service to be re-introduced, and my liking of Bristol VR's helped create this most bizarre dream!

I dreamed I got on the bus okay and sat down, I looked around, then in dream I panicked and realised I missed my stop and rushed to get off at the next stop, I was then horrified to find I was lost in Jurassic Park, I woke up after I heard scary dinosaur noises

The Honey Monster dream sounds good

Similar to the occasional horrible spad dreams I have now sometimes I used to have them on the buses too.
Usually blasting downhill full of passengers and having no control and always fir some reason driving From the middle of the coach but the brake pedal still at the front lol. Waking in cold sweats afterwards can be fun

I had a second one a few days ago I wrote down after I woke up with the bus dream uninterupted.

I was on the bus (single decker), it turned the wrong way and up a ramp (like those on dual carriageways) but it wasn't finnished, the bus soon became stuck on the ledge above concrete lane, then everyone leant forward, the bus started to fall forward, then everyone jumped back and bus was safe on the ledge again, so (rather stupidly) everyone tried to do it again but the bus fell forward regardless of people trying to shift back, it landed on it s front and then onto it's side, no one seemed to get hurt, then the dream changed to a dream about women but I was then woken by the alarm before anysort of story could happen.

Had a strange one last night where I was waiting for the normal double decker Stagecoach to turn up when a Leyland Olympian turned up driven by the Pope with Techniquest in a skirt as the conductor

I've often had dreams about Stagecoach bringing back the old RoadCar liveries on their Scunthorpe buses they inherited from the RoadCar takeover, but then as soon as I try and board one of the buses, something strange usually happens, either I end up floating rapidly up into the sky and wake up, or the ground opens up and I end up falling down a hole and waking up.

Just had a dream last night of riding on a bus down a road with a beck running next to it, both of which exist in real life.

The bus stops suddenly where there is a blockade, (a fallen tree), so the bus transforms into a boat and veers off into the beck, then the beck comes out in our town centre (it doesn't in real life), then we are riding the boat through what seems to be a flooded high street. (It has flooded before in real life but back in the early 1970s when my mum was only about two years old).
