Weekend First Upgrade

Hi,

Looking at booking Bolton to Arbroath, going on a Saturday, could be a combination of TPE, Virgin and/or East Coast. If I do a weekend upgrade does that just cover one leg of the journey? Im guessing it does.

It will only ever cover one operator.
Some operators allow you to transfer from one train to another, others don't, but sadly never across operators.
