Weekend Cheltenham to Paddington services.

I have arranged an overnight weekend trip to london. 21/22 December. Seats have been booked for carriage B and carriage C return.
How many carriages are predicted to run the weekend cheltenham to paddington services?
If service does get canned at swindon , to or from london due to unavailable staff, is there a carriage of unreserved standard seats provided if changing trains at swindon?

Varies between 5 and 9 coach trains on the whole. In any case, both B and C exist on both types.

On a 10 car, coach G unreserved. Can't remember which one is on a 9 car.

Will there be options to catch a local Swindon to Cheltenham service in future? I thought as part of the new timetable all the services were Paddington to Cheltenham? Or is that Just weekdays?

No. All from Paddington, no spare unit in the bay at Swindon.

No. There will still be dmus from Swindon to Cheltenham at 07.54, 20.54 and 23.42 and a 17.50 from Gloucester and 22.16 from Cheltenham on weekdays and the last train each way on Saturdays is also a Turbo.

Went on saturday for the 1014 Gloucester to paddington. 0914 had been cancelled. 5 carriages. Full and standing from swindon no reservations. Most toilets out of order after reading. And read on the gwr help Twitter feed later the set was sent back out to cheltenham at 1232 with toilets out of use. Returned on sunday, the 1932 back to gloucester. This time preceeding train cancelled, 1832. Although the 1932 had 9 carriages. Not full, actually a clean and tidy train. Reservation system working and looked easy to follow should you not have a reserved seat. Liked the red and green lights system. We also had reservation labels!
