Good morning at reading on my way up to acton London and via overground/underground etc to catch the 442 scrap move.
However Newbury services are currently being cancelled ie the local service ones and quite disruption.
Apparently the 0126 reading triangle sidings to reading triangle sidings ie the colas test train has derailed. On the up reading line at the reading triangle sidings colas Depot area. By a bogie or so. So staff have been informing people.
However interesting to know what colas stock was affected as well.
However there will be some disruption at reading.
For Newbury services today.

At 0515 4Q03 (01:26 Reading Triangle Siding to Reading Triangle Siding) derailed one wheel set on a set of points whilst entering the Reading Triangle Sidings blocking the up Westbury line. Some Newbury stoppers are subject to delay or cancellation but most seem to be running. Probably routed via Feeder lines.

I saw it this morning as it's clearly visible from any train using the flyover west of the station.

Yes the Basingstoke and Newbury services have generally used the higher platforms. The offending signal can now be talked past as the train is just clear of the points at Triangle sidings, but it's quite a tricky operation so the platform alterations remain in place with a few minor exceptions. To accommodate this, the TfL services have been using P8. No major disruption except a couple of cancellations earlier on.
