Weaver Line Delay Reporting (19/10)

Hi Everyone!

There are currently no services running on the Weaver line due to a points failure at Clapton.

When I check realtime trains for my station to Liverpool Street trains from an hour ago are still on the RTT list from an hour ago but are not shown as delayed or cancelled. How comes LO can just leave the journeys as live on RTT?

Other lines (even other LO lines I feel) would show as delayed on RTT but somehow at 0927 the 0827 service is still not coming up as delayed but just has an adjusted arrival time. Also why haven’t they been cancelled this or any other trip as the delays have already occurred are significant and ongoing. Is this to fudge the performance statistics?

I’m asking as it very frustrating to try and use RTT during disruption but it is effectively useless because they don’t appear to update it in the same way as other TOCs, is there a reason for this which I am missing?

Cheers,
N

RTT isn't perfect in disruption, not just LO but plenty of other TOC's. Something to do with the specific system used as a data source.

Generally I find the operators website/app or national rail better when things are badly disrupted.

To support your point, l would add that the official National Rail live departure boards websites show the trains in the screenshot as cancelled.

If you want disruption information, you need a source that has access to "Darwin".

From a previous thread:
RTT will only pull cancellations from Network Rail's systems. The operators can put cancellations into Rail Delivery Groups Darwin system and they won't appear in RTT - RTT doesn't pull this current for historic non-technical reasons.

Usually RTT for time predictions and platforms, but keeping a Darwin based app for cancellations is the way to go
For example, timetablehistory.com, the site used by the forum's ticketing site to show the trains in a booking, shows the 0927 as cancelled:
