I'm sure various on here will know of WCRC's current provision for enthusiasts on the diesel legs of the Scarborough Spa Express every Thursday which has been running all summer.
It will run on the following dates:
10/17/24/31 August
7/14 September
All services start at Carnforth, alternating between north and south routes. 10/24 August and 7 September will run via the North route picking up at Hellifield, Skipton, Keighley, Shipley, Leeds and York.
17/31 August and 14 September runs via the South route picking up at Lancaster, Preston, Blackburn, Hebden Bridge, Brighouse, Wakefield Kirkgate and York.
Steam locomotive (currently 45699 Galatea although may change soon) attaches in York Holgate U&DGL and takes the train through to Scarborough.
Anyway, back to the diesel portions, which will run as follows:
10 Aug - 47237 47245
17 Aug - 40145
24 Aug - 40145
31 Aug - Colas 56
07 Sep - 33025 33207
14 Sep - Colas Loco
