Trains are being delayed due to a fatality at Blisworth

1630 ish VT to preston cancelled 1640 VT to Manchester Picc will call in addition at MKC Rugby and Stafford

Train crew expect diversion via Northampton

LM services seem ok at present but there will be a knovk on effect due to congestion via northamton

Oof, glad I came back first thing! The timing could hardly be worse either given the proximity to 5pm

It did happen near Weedon - the train I was on was the first to pass back through the affected area. There was an ESR just south of Weedon which I assume was where the incident happened.

Strange place for a fatality though. Its in the middle of nowhere

Blisworth I heard ?? if so, next to the Walnut Tree, fairly accesible place off the A43.

There seems to be a railway suicide nearly every day just lately, I think figures were posted showing 2010 railway deaths to be lower than 2009, I think 2011 may reverse the trend.
