Emergency services are dealing with an incident at Leighton Buzzard.
Because of this, journeys between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston / Shepherds Bush may be delayed by up to 60 minutes. These delays are expected to continue until approximately 19:30.
Virgin Trains customers may use CrossCountry, Chiltern Railways, East Coast, East Midlands Trains and First Great Western services on all reasonable routes.

There is Major Delays, I got a brother who stuck in London, he's can't get out of Euston for 2 hours, there no replacement Bus services and what i heard a train is on fire at Leigton Buzzard

Can you use London Midland Tickets on other companies, becuase my brother trying to get a Chiltern Railways service

Keep tabs on this for all replacemnt bus and allowances on other TOCs etc.

Buses Wellingborough to Northampton, and a Hemel to Euston shuttle are all on the cards ATM. Midlands passengers use either Chiltern or FGW and XC.

Bloody hell. That's tragic.

Have to say that this is being handled extremely well in Birmingham. I'm due on the 19:50 Chiltern to Leamington. New Street is buy but they've set up temporary information points with lots of staff on hand to explain the options to people. Moor Street is packed with London passengers most of whom seem to know what's going on, plenty of staff there as well. I did overhear on woman on the phone telling someone "I'm going to be late home, Euston station is on fire" which goes to prove some people jut never listen. There was also one man angrily barking to anyone who would listen that this is a "disgrace" and they should be "prepared". I was tempted to step in and enquire as to how you prepare for an incident like this but I couldn't be bothered with the argument.

Now sat in the relative calm of Snow Hill in the hope that it will increase my chances of a seat. Didn't fancy battling the army of executive suitcases at Moor Street.

not to speculate but have heard it could potentially be a suicide in which a passenger attempted to set themselves on fire in the toilet. but thats not confirmed

Cigarette in a bin full of bog roll is my guess. There's nothing else thats all that flamable in a desiro bog, unless the cleaners have been using flammable cleaning products.

two hour journey MKC-Bletchley. 1713 southern train off MKC. Routed through Bletchley Carriage sdgs to reach platform 5. EDIT - looking at Quail it looks like either the arrival road or number 11 road.

trais were starting to move. Slowly southbound, full speed northbound but only Virgin trains seen Northbound. LM in chaos.

I HOPE things are not as bad as suggested as it seems a terrible situation.

I would agree, there been times i've travelled on London Midland, there been no Toliet Facilities on the Train and they mainly been the 350/2!

Thoughts to victims family.
In a wierd way i hope it isnt a train fault. But like you say we could go through the millions of possibilites so lets not presume ro spectuculate not the time.
