My GLC-EUS service is 35 minutes down but getting diverted to rejoin south of Nuneaton, just gone through Witton(?). Looks like trains going north have more problems.

Edit: arrived EUS about 55 mins down. My £51 for FC advance felt good value by then after the food and drinks...

Damage to overhead wires around Nuneaton on the down, but I believe the wires have been brought down so affecting all lines. A Pendolino is stuck, with a thunderbird on the way to rescue it, but the wires were in the way of the rescue loco last I knew. Disruption expected all night now, but service likely to be back to normal tomorrow despite the fact this sounds like a pretty bad one.

Judging by what I can see on trust, it looks like 390141 forming 18:33 Euston to Liverpool is one of the trains involved in bringing the wires down.
1A64 18:35 Manchester to Euston terminated at 23:23, 161 minutes late. (390044)

Yes, believe 1F25 1833 Euston to Liverpool and 1H73 1840 Euston to Manchester were (are?) the two stuck, one behind the other on same line.

You didn't go via Rugeley, you went Bushbury and Penkridge. Virgin don't sign the Cannock Chase line.

One of the pendos involved with damage to its pantograph is currently sitting at Stafford Station on the old mail platform...anyone know why it's still there?

An additional stop order was put in place at Stafford for the delayed 2140 EUS to MAN which got there about 00:20. Final arrival into Manchester was 01:24.

Stood at Stafford atm awaiting a train... it appears to still be there...

390141, which formed 1F25 last night and was involved, was rescued by 57307 and was sat at Stafford as previously pictured. There also seems to be another 390 at Rugby, having been rescued by 57311.

Update at 2300 11/03:
57311 dragged 390006 (other unit stranded last night) from Rugby to Wembley this evening as 5Z14.

Arrived at Stafford at about 07:20. Still here at 17:10 with rescuing loco 57307 still attached to maintainer pressure.

I have been advised by a member of staff that the train and "Thunderbird" shall remain at Stafford pending an isolation of the OHL in order for someone to gain access to the offending pantograph.
