Surprised this hasn't been posted unless I've missed it, but the WCML has been closed most of the day from approx 1030 this morning due to OHLE problems at Carnforth. Buses operating between Lancaster and Oxenholme.

Not all significant incidents will be posted about, especially if no one is particularly affected, as they won't always generate topical discussions.

Both overhead problems and major incidents on the WCML seems to be the "in" thing atm, so I suspect it may also have something to do with the majority of related issues already recently discussed in a different thread.

But anything on the ECML seems to be posted almost before it happens. There was the case a few years ago with the Christmas Kings Cross Engineering overrun leaving the station closed. Then 5 pages had been posted on that thread before there was any mention that Paddington, just as important, was closed as well. I think the reporting and discussion on most topics depends on areas in which the Forum has members.

18:40 Glasgow Central to London Euston is currently 63 minutes down at Preston. It seems to be getting later PAST Carnforth.

Just as well I travelled that section on Monday after a few days with my sister.
