I was just wondering whether the WCML was back to normal today after the past few days where OHL issues around Hemel Hempsted had caused delays and cancellations of services?
I had to go to London yesterday and caught the 0720 from BHI to EUS which was not too badly affected (although was going slower than normal even through the unaffected sections possibly due to the high winds) but the 1823 return left on time but was delayed by about 40 minutes en-route as we were routed down the slows for a long section.
There were numerous cancellations of VirginTrains and London Midland services and VT had declassified First Class Coach G on most trains (from what I could see) due to services being cancelled and amount of people on the trains. Saying that, people were even standing in First Class (especially the unlucky people who joined the train at Watford) and the 1823 service I was on also made an additional stop at Rugby.
Does anyone have any news please?
