Well, if people need to get to Waterloo then they'll still go there but taking a longer route. All it will do is cause people to arrive 10-15 mins later. How will this stop overcrowding?

I nominate that for the World's most illogical excuse award.

AIUI, all underground platforms were closed at Waterloo, due to the very few services due to the death of a little **** (or vandal) near Surbiton yesterday afternoon.
