I am travelling from London Waterloo to Woking next Thursday and I want an Anytime return with PRIV. Any useful splits on there that anyone can advise of? Thanks

I don't think you'll be able to get anything less than the £9.40 anytime single to be honest.

Another point is that as soon as you get into splitting on what is after all a relatively short journey you can't use the fast trains, which are going to be either first stop Woking, or Clapham Jn and Woking only...

If coming back within 3 days/same day then:

Thames Rover 3 Day (PRIV) - £10 use London Pad-Guildford via Reading (generally valid after 0930)
2 x SDS PRIV Guildford-Woking - 80p each

Total: £11.60 (return - within 3 days)

Thanks - interesting split. From where I live Paddington is an absolute nightmare to get to so will add another hour onto my journey time. However, I will use when I next come back from travelling to Bristol.

Am I alone in wondering why on earth the OP is looking to save money on fares that total less than a fiver? Fares where they've already got a massive 75% discount. Nothing wrong with PRV holders looking for a saving by splitting on long distance journeys particularly as they're not entitled to discounted Off Peak tickets, but on a short inter-urban journey which is already discounted to less than a fiver? I know every little helps, but really???

Waterloo - Woking SDR is £4.35 on PRIV

Acton Main Line - Woking SDR is £5.55 on PRIV - if you need a cross-London transfer from Paddington to Waterloo that might be a better option, as you get your LUL travel included (PRIV being permitted if it's part of the ticket).

Sorry 'bout that. I normally post the public fares and put a "minus your discount" type messages with them, but forgot this time. One day I'll work out all the restrictions for various cards and try to get the right numbers off first time.
