Does anyone know much history of the clock? I'm trying to find dates when it was refurbished around the 90s as my dad was station manager at the time and was part of the unveiling. Hoping I can find a newspaper article somewhere to give him for christmas. Copious google and newspaper searching aren't giving me any joy.

I see that the Wikipedia article refers to this book, which might have something for you:

Fareham, J., 2013. The History of Waterloo Station, Bretwalda Books. ISBN 1909099724.

There's also a very good book called "London's Termini" by Alan A Jackson, but the latest edition is 1985, so that's too early.
