Waterloo & City Line - Suspended for 2 days

Initially reported* as a signal failure on Monday morning, then a mix of signal failure and flooding, now just flooding.

Trains between Vauxhall and London Waterloo are expected to be disrupted until 11am on Tuesday due to a signalling fault.

Meanwhile flooding at Waterloo Station has also shut the Waterloo & City Line - the key commuter service that connects Waterloo and Bank.

I know water ingress is an ongoing issue at the Waterloo end (evidenced by past closures, sealing off sections of wet platform and the visible presence of water pumps) but to lose the service for two consecutive whole days suggests a serious problem.

Anybody on the inside able to update on the remedial work/chances of the service being restored in the coming days?

No idea on the fix, but it's a burst water pipe that has caused this closure.

Yes, the Drain is literally a drain at the moment...

According to TFL status via SWR Journey Check reported as a signal failure at Bank, gosh this water has gone a long way....
Now updated (0830) to say Minor delays due to an earlier signal failure at Bank. Guess the pipe has been fixed.

Water was over rail level about 6-cars from end of platform.
Empty test trains started running at 18.50 yesterday after burst pipe repaired.
