I see in the latest Rail that Lambeth Council has appointed Grimshaw as architects for the Waterloo area regeneration project. I regularly walk through there between the War Memorial station entrance to the South Bank near the Festival Hall. It's an incredibly popular area with people on foot yet remains an absolute shambles of mixed foot and vehicular traffic with grim and grubby surfacing. Even the bit nearest the station is a Horror-Show that pays almost zero regard to the overwhelming numbers who cross the area on foot. Any change has to be a positive!
