Warship at Reading in 1976?

I used to pass a Warship to the east of Reading General in about 1976, it was there for a few months in a siding near the dive under on the north side. Which loco was this and what happened to it eventually?

Thanks for that interesting link. So it was D821 Greyhound, which has been running on and off on various lines and is now on the SVR apparently.

Looks a bit different now than it did when it was at the gas works.
