In July, my group will be arriving by ship at Warnemunde and taking one of the Cruise Line's excursions to Berlin. Apparently we will be going by train. What kind of service/equipment should we expect? Is it too much to hope for ICE service? ;)

Looks like an s-bahn to Rostock Hbf followed by an RE which may be a double decker.

There is one train a day run by Connex (yes them) which doesn't require a change, and one ICE, but that's it.

Might it not be a special train chartered for the cruise ship passengers?

Great. At least we won't be on a bus. :D

Thanks.

I'm looking forward to riding the rails in Germany again. Really enjoyed it the only other time I visited.

Yes it was. It was very convenient. Just step off of the ship, cross the road, and board the train. A wonderful ride. I really enjoyed it.

If you are really lucky, you might get something like this :D Can't remember the name of the company but it was run for a group from a cruise ship.

That looks a lot like it, except our engine was all red.
